Dermal filler treatments in Milton Keynes

Dermal fillers are used to correct early to advanced signs of ageing, restore volume and plumpness to the face and can improve the quality of ageing skin.

About dermal filler treatments

Dermal filler treatments are a safe and effective treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, skin folds and uneven skin texture.

At Halo Aesthetics we commonly treat cheeks, nose to mouth (nasolabial) lines, marionette (mouth to chin) lines, perioral (around the mouth) lines and the lips.   The main substance found in dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid which is suspended in a sterile gel formulation.  Hyaluronic acid is a substance found naturally in the body and is important for hydrating the tissues.  The synthetic form used in dermal filler injections safely and effectively replaces the hyaluronic acid your skin has lost, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds.

We can also offer Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty (nose reshaping) treatment using dermal fillers.

Your options

Whether you are looking for complete facial revitalisation or just a subtle ‘tweak’ Halo Aesthetics has the skills and experience to help you achieve your goals.  As well as hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, we also offer treatment with Ellanse and Sculptra and can tailor make a bespoke facial line softening plan to suit your needs.
  • Ellanse: Ellanse is unique and long-lasting and has an excellent safety record. Collagen-stimulating dermal fillers offer a high satisfaction rate, excellent safety profile and a choice of 1, 2 or 3 years longevity (our nurse will help you choose the right one for you).
  • Sculptra is a collagen-stimulating injection which is used to correct advanced signs of ageing and restore volume to the face. Sculptra is a safe and effective injectable treatment which acts as a very effective collagen stimulator. The treatment gradually restores facial volume and contour through deep tissue regeneration.

Before your treatment

Before the treatment you will have a consultation with our aesthetic nurse who will assess your suitability, desired outcome and budget.  The treatment time varies depending on what areas are being treated but should be no longer than approximately 30-40 minutes.  A local anaesthetic cream is used to numb the area and the products we use also contain local anaesthetic within the injection itself which minimises discomfort during the procedure. The needle used to inject the filler product is very small and should not be painful – you may feel some mild discomfort but this will be minimal and short-lived.  You will normally see the results immediately although there may be some initial swelling so it’s best to wait a few days to see the actual result.  The treatment will usually last from 9-12 months (depending on the area being treated and the product being injected).  After this time the product will start to be broken down and re-absorbed by your body.
